This combination has been formulated to combine the benefits of both amino acids without causing over-stimulation. The amino acid dl-phenylalanine is the precursor to the neurotransmitters norepinephrine, epinephrine and dopamine.These neurotransmitters are involved in mood regulation, cognitive function as well as maintaining metabolism and energy levels. Dl-phenylalanine is also the precursor to the neurotransmitter PEA (phenylethylamine), which is also involved in mood and cognitive function.
